This dark strong beer from the former Cistercian abbey of Hamont-Achel has been brewed since 2023 under a new, private owner with unchanged recipes. Although it can no longer be called Trappist beer, nothing has changed in the characteristic taste of the abbey beer. The Dubbel or Brune is still characterized by a light, sweet smell and bitter coffee notes as well as flavors of ripe fruit. New label, familiar taste!
