Liefmans Goudenband embodies Belgian brewing tradition in its purest form. This Flemish Oud Bruin matures in open fermentation tanks through spontaneous fermentation – a process that harks back to classic Gueuze and Lambic traditions. After 4–12 months of cellar aging, young beer is added, initiating an elegant secondary fermentation in the bottle. Refined with Hercules hops, the Goudenband impresses with its deep dark brown color with a subtle reddish hue and a creamy head. On the palate, a complex interplay of sweet and bitter notes unfolds with delicate tart accents, while fruity aromas subtly shine through. A characterful beer for connoisseurs.
