Golden Carolus Classic

Gouden Carolus Classic is a Belgian beer brewed by the brewery Het Anker in Mechelen. It is a dark beer with a high alcohol content of 8.5%. The beer is amber to dark brown in color and cloudy when poured fresh from the bottle. The taste of Gouden Carolus Classic is malty and sweet, with aromas of caramel and dark fruits like raisins and plums. In the finish, light notes of chocolate and spices can also be tasted. Despite its high alcohol content, the beer is very balanced and easy to drink, with a pleasant bitterness on the finish. It is well suited as an accompaniment to hearty dishes such as game or grilled meat, but also as an aperitif or digestif.
