Delirious Christmas

The Huyghe brewery is the oldest brewery in Ghent. The oldest traces go back to 1654. Perhaps the brewery is even older.
The old buildings were demolished before World War II. In 1938 the brewery received its present name and a year later the current buildings were occupied.
After a few difficult years, the brewery underwent restructuring in 1985 - switching to top-fermented beers.
The beers with the Latin names and the pink elephant conquered the world! And won a lot of medals.
Delirium Christmas is a winter warmer.
Slightly chestnut dark, slightly amber. A fine, white, creamy and firm foam.
The scent is a complex unity of caramel malt, fruit, spices and the sweetness of the alcohol...
The taste: A strong presence of alcohol, somewhat pungent, slightly bitter. The aftertaste is sweet, spicy and marked by a slight bitterness.
