About this product
As the name suggests, Brugse Zot Blond comes from Bruges. There from the brewery "de halve Maan" the half moon. It is in the city center, right next to the Beginnerhof.
The Brugse Zot "Crazy" beer commemorates a visit by the Emperor during Austrian rule in Belgium.
He asked what the city wanted as a gift. He was told that a madhouse was required.
In his most tumultuous procession of the Holy Blood, he suggested that Bruges itself could be declared a madhouse if the city gates were locked.
Well, it's crazy, after all, that's what our beer was named after.
Brugse Zot.
It has an almost iridescent pale bronze color. A blooming aroma of "hops in the brewhouse", a fruity palate, a hint of peach and a slight appetizing dryness (quoted by beer expert Michael Jackson).
