Chimay Cent Cinquante

Chimay Cent Cinquante, also known as Chimay 150, is a special beer brewed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Chimay brewery. It is a Belgian Strong Ale brewed with a blend of specially selected hop varieties. The beer has an alcohol content of 10%, is dark brown in color and has a fine-pored foam. Aromas of caramel, dried fruit and spices are noticeable in the aroma. The taste is complex and balanced, with hints of caramel and toasted notes accompanied by fruity notes of plums and raisins. A subtle hop bitterness rounds off the taste and ensures a pleasant mouthfeel. Chimay Cent Cinquante is best served at a temperature between 10 and 12°C and goes well with hearty meat dishes or mature cheeses.
